When in standby mode a new battery lasts up to three months. However, each time the Orbit detects and records motion and each time you wake up the Orbit (you do this when you open the app), battery time goes down. When there were constant motion in front of the camera and/or if you were to view the stream all the time the battery would last seven hours tops.
